"Quick stop at the gift shop"
Stopped in after we were done walking around and it was a nice little shop. They had a decent mix of shirts, toys, and the usual small souvenirs, so it was easy to browse for a bit. Some of the prices felt a little high, but not really surprising for a place like that. The staff was friendly and checkout didn’t take long. I just wish they’d had a few more magnet options.

"I went on a weekend and was…"
I went on a weekend and was surprised it didn’t feel packed at all. The lines moved fast, and there was still room to walk around, even by the more popular animals. It made the whole day feel a lot more relaxed than I expected.

"Animal exhibits were kind of a letdown"
I went in expecting to see a lot more animals, but a bunch of the exhibits felt empty or were really hard to see into. Some areas also looked outdated, and we ended up walking around way more than actually watching any animals. Maybe we just picked a bad day, but for what it cost, I left feeling disappointed. Also, a few spots had signs for animals we never saw at all, and that part was weird

"Bathroom Odor Issue"

"Nice and Shady"
I was there for a little while in the afternoon, and it stayed cool the whole time. There’s a lot of shade around, which made it really comfortable to hang out without feeling overheated.

"Some Enclosures Felt Too Small"
I left feeling a bit uneasy, to be honest. Some of the enclosures looked small, and it didn’t sit right with me. I also raised a complaint about it but had to chase them for a response, which was frustrating. Overall, it just wasn’t the most reassuring experience.

"Decent Prices, But the Extra Kids Fee Was Annoying"
The prices seemed okay at first, not too bad, but then I realized kids cost extra. That part was a little annoying. I get that places charge for extras, but it still felt like the kids fee kept making the total higher than expected. The base price was fine, but having to pay more for the kids kind of took away from it. It was okay overall, just wish that extra charge had been clearer...

The food was good and it was nice that drinks were easy to find pretty much everywhere. That said, I wouldn’t say anything really stood out or felt especially memorable. It was fine overall, just not the kind of experience that left me super impressed.

Parking was actually really simple and close, so getting in and out wasn’t stressful at all. I just wish the rest of the experience had been as smooth, because I left feeling disappointed overall.

"Weirdly difficult to use with a screen reader"
I was just trying to look up the Dallas Zoo hours and ticket info, and wow, the site made it way harder than it needed to be. My screen reader kept running into random unlabeled buttons and menus that didn’t make any sense, like the important stuff was hidden behind a secret digital wall or something. Tabbing through parts of the page was a mess too. I eventually gave up and had to ask someone else to help me. For a place this big, you’d think accessibility wouldn’t feel like an afterthought.

"Felt Safe and Had a Great Day"
Took my kids to the Dallas Zoo and, i was immediately like, okay, this feels good. The entry check was quick, but it still seemed like they were actually paying attention, which I appreciated. There were staff around, signs were easy to follow, and the walkways and animal areas looked clean and well taken care of. Nothing felt overcrowded or sketchy, and security was visible without making it feel intense. We ended up having a really nice day, and I’d definitely go back

Went to the Dallas Zoo last weekend, and I’ll give them credit where it’s due, the place was actually really clean. I was fully expecting the walkways, bathrooms, and food areas to be a disaster with that many people around, because some places just let things go and then blame the crowd. But that wasn’t the case here. Everything was kept up well, and it made the whole day a lot easier to enjoy

Well... the kids had a really good time, so that made it worth it overall. The only downside was that the lines were long, which got a little tiring after a while.

"Same disappointment with the membership again"
I paid extra for the membership and barely ended up using it. It feels like the same issue all over again, spending more and not really getting much value back. I’m tired of giving it another chance, so I don’t think it’s worth renewing

"Friendly staff, but no one seemed to be in charge"
The staff were nice overall, but a few of them seemed rushed and distracted. What made it more frustrating was that it wasn’t really clear who was supposed to be handling what, so I felt like I was getting passed around a bit without anyone fully owning the situation.

"My kids were absolutely obsessed!"
My kids had the best time at the Dallas Zoo education program, like, they would not stop talking about it the entire day. The staff was so nice and explained everything in a way that was super easy for them to understand. They came home acting like little animal experts, telling me every single detail with nonstop excitement. it made their whole day!

"Nice day out with the kids"
Had a good visit with the kids overall. The animals looked well cared for and all that, which was nice to see. The only thing was the food lines were kind of slow, and parking was a bit annoying with all this and that. Still, it was a fun day.

"Easy to Get Around, but Some Signs Were Frustrating"
Overall, the Dallas Zoo was easy to navigate. The main paths made sense, and most of the signs helped us find the bigger animal areas without much hassle. That said, a few spots were kind of annoying, especially around the food areas and restrooms, where the directions weren’t very clear. We had to keep checking the map, which got a little frustrating, but we still managed to get around fine.

"nice day, just a bit of waiting"
i’d give it 4 stars. the zoo was really nice overall, but the waiting was kind of hit or miss. getting in took longer than we thought it would, and the food lines around lunch were slow. once we got through all that, it was easy to get around and the animals made it worth the trip. not perfect, but still a fun day
